Join our face to face Pilates classes to get energized and feel rejuvenated.

  • What is Pilates?
    Pilates is a low impact workout that focuses on improving posture, balance, core strength, flexibility and the mind-body connection. In Pilates, the chance of injury is much lower as the exercises are done in a controlled and safe way. The exercises will focus on good form and doing the exercises correctly rather than how many reps you can perform. Pilates is perfect for those looking to help reduce pain in the body, improve their stomach, improve pelvic floor strength and much more. The classes at Maria Wynne Fitness are general structured as a warm up section consisting of setting up your posture and mobilising all the joints carefully. A main section which will consist of strength and flexibility exercises suitable for beginners and a closing section which includes a guided meditation in a very relaxed atmosphere with candles and a starry light experience.
  • What Sessions Do You Run?
    Currently we run: Tuesday - 5.40 pm & 6.40 pm Friday - 09.40 am & 10.40 am
  • Is it suitable for beginners?
    Yes. Absolutely! The classes are tailored for beginners. Don't worry if you have never done any exercise before and you don't know what the heck Pilates is! You will be guided throughout the sessions and will have hands on help to know you are in the right position to do the move correctly. Please give me a message and I would love to help you become a part of our group.
  • What are the benefits of Pilates?
    Good posture, muscle tone, flat abdominal muscles, flexibility, improved balance, reduced stress, better sleep, improved pelvic floor strength, a general sense of well-being, improved back strength, reduced pain in the body and the chance to meet new friends!
  • How much are sessions?
    For 4-5 sessions booked in a month it is £7.50 per session. For 3 sessions booked in a month it is £8.50 per sessionl. For 2 sessions booked in a month it is £9 per session. For 1 off sessions booked in the month it is £10 per session. If you don't want to commit, please get in touch to be added to our WhatsApp group where you can pay as you go.
  • Do I need to bring any equipment?
    No. All equipment is provided. Mats, Pilates bands, rings, blocks and balls. We have it all! I only ask you bring some water and a pillow and blanket for the relaxation at the end.
  • What should I wear?
    Something you can comfortably exercise in. Stretchy leggings/shorts and a comfy top is always a great option. Hair tied up is usually useful if you don't want it in the way and we do the class in our socks so it doesn't matter what shoes you wear.
  • How do I sign up?
    Please contact Maria on 07514418861 or use the contact form below to find out whether there are any available spaces. If any spaces are available then Maria will ask for a payment, book you in and then set up your free consultation to get to know you and go over your forms. If there are no available spaces then please still get in touch as you can be added to our WhatsApp group and come along whenever anyone can't make it. Plus, you'll be one of the first people to find out when a space does become available..
